We currently don't have pictures for all children, but will add them as available. The pictures will take a few minutes to download over a modem. Hennepin County makes placement decisions with the best interests of the children foremost. When a family is identified as a match for a child or group of children there are a series of events the family and agency must accomplish to move toward actual placement of the children). While it may be said that a "match" has been made, there are times when a placement plan falls apart during the prerequisite meetings with a childs foster parents, school collaterals, therapist, etc. Sometimes a family experiences life events that are not due to the children and decide not to proceed with the placement. Sometimes it is discovered that what appeared to be the best match is not truly in the best interest of the child(ren). While these can be difficult decisions for both a family and the agency, best efforts are made to most successfully protect the children from further disruption. These tough decisions are made with careful consideration and in the best interests of the children.
